Greetings Friends in Christ!
Christ has risen! We’re taking a pause from our series on Peter as we reflect on the heart of the good news of Jesus Christ. Christianity is known for its main symbol of the cross. Yet perhaps that’s unfair. We live and have eternal life not simply because Jesus died on the cross, but because he defeated the power of death and will defeat every challenge to God’s life-giving power. In the end, forgiveness of sins is only part of the good news, the best news is that Jesus is the risen King who will have the victory over all other claims to authority, especially the power of death that is at work in the spirit of this age.
