Greetings Friends in Christ!
One of the most fearful passages of the New Testament is the death of Ananias and Sapphira. In a place where we want to focus on how good God is, on how kind, on how forgiving, there are two people who drop dead because they told a lie to the apostles in order to present an image of righteousness they didn’t really have. This story is vital, however, to understand what the Holy Spirit is and does, and what God has in mind for the Church.
