Peter's first act of leadership after Jesus departs is to choose a replacement for Judas Iscariot. What is fascinating about choosing Matthais as the new 12th disciple is that we get a clear insight into the decision making patterns of Peter and the others. They flip a coin, the use the Bible in ways that seem a little odd to us. And all this will reveal a core truth, they are living the story they are telling, practicing the music they are playing.
