OUR PRAISES: Psalm 59:17 To You, O [God] my strength, I will sing praises; For God is my stronghold [my refuge, my protector, my high tower], the God who shows me [steadfast] lovingkindness. Psalm 103:1-5 Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul, and all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name. Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul, And do not forget any of His benefits; 3 Who forgives all your sins, Who heals all your diseases; 4 Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy; 5 Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle. Psalm 118:24* This is the day which the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in Yakima.
THANK YOU, GOD: Psalm 75:1* We give thanks and praise to You, O God, we give thanks, For Your [wonderful works declare that Your] name is near; People of Yakima declare Your wonders. Psalm 118:28-29* You are my God, and I give thanks to You; [You are] my God, I extol You. 29 O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness towards Yakima endures forever. Ezekiel 11:19-20* And I will give Yakima one heart [a new heart], and put a new spirit within them. I will take from them the heart of stone, and will give them a heart of flesh [that is responsive to My touch], 20 that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances and do them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God. Revelation 11:17* To You we give thanks, O Lord God Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all], Who are and Who were, because You have taken Your great power and the sovereignty [which is rightly Yours] and have [now] begun to reign in Yakima.
WE HUMBLEY PRESENT OUR CONCERNS: We are seeing the many affects of domestic violence, gang activity, and addictions within our community. We seek Your guidance for Divine strategy for our campuses from pre-school through college for transformation and restoration of your ways in our schools so that we live in a manner worthy of the Lord – faith will replace fear. Psalm 17:7-9* Wondrously show Your [marvelous and amazing] lovingkindness, O Savior of those who take refuge at Your right hand from those who rise up against them. 8 Keep Yakima [in Your affectionate care, protect me] as the apple of Your eye; Hide me in the [protective] shadow of Your wings 9 From the wicked who despoil and deal violently with me, my deadly enemies who surround me. Mark 11:24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you. Colossians 3:12-14* So, as God’s own chosen people of Yakima, who are holy [set apart, sanctified for His purpose] and well-beloved [by God Himself], put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience [which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper]; 13 bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive. 14 Beyond all these things put on and wrap yourselves in [unselfish] love, which is the perfect bond of unity [for everything is bound together in agreement when each one seeks the best for others].
YOUR PROMISE OF BLESSINGS – UNITING WITH YOU: Romans 8:28* And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about Yakima] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57* O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives Yakima the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 4:7* For God has not called Yakima to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private]. 8 So whoever rejects and disregards this is not [merely] rejecting man but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you [to dwell in you and empower you to overcome temptation]. Ephesians 6:10* In conclusion, Yakima, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil [of consecration] poured on the head, coming down on the beard, Even the beard of Aaron, coming down upon the edge of his [priestly] robes [consecrating the whole body]. 3 It is like the dew of [Mount] Hermon coming down on the hills of Yakima; For there the Lord has commanded the blessing: life forevermore. Psalm 133:1-3*
