PRAY YAKIMA

2nd Sunday Each Month

Thank you for spending time in prayer this Sunday for our church and for Yakima Valley. Below are links to this month’s scripture and prayer prompts from the team behind Pray Yakima 24/7. What an honor to join other churches across our Valley to pray over our city - our prayers matter!  May God bless your time in prayer.
Our desire and purpose for 24/7 is to “set a watch” by connecting with Grace to pray for our Valley one day each month so that we may experience the blessings of God’s promises 24/7 for 365 days of our year.  Your part is vital to this end.
Yakima Valley 24/7 Prayer
Scripture Support for Prayer Topics

Sunday, April 12
If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14  We continue using this scripture as our monthly guide for 2026 – “My Name” for April
OUR PRAISE:
Psalm 68:4* Yakima; sing to God, sing praises to His name, cast up a highway for Him Who rides through the deserts—His name is the Lord—be in high spirits and glory before Him!
Psalm 103:1-2 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul; and all that is [deepest] within me, bless His holy name! 2 Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul, and forget not [one of] all His benefits.
Psalm 117:1-2* O praise the Lord, all you nations! Praise Him, all you people of Yakima! 2 For His mercy and loving-kindness are great toward us, and the truth and faithfulness of the Lord endure forever. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
Psalm 148:1-4* Yakima, praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens, praise Him in the heights!  2 Praise Him, all His angels, praise Him, all His hosts! 3 Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you stars of light!  4 Praise Him, you highest heavens and you waters above the heavens!

OUR NEED:
Resolution of hate, conflict and divisions in our hearts, homes, schools, churches and city - we long for restoration of Jesus Kingdom spiritual and economic atmosphere through love and honor in our families and peoples throughout our Yakima Valley.
Hebrews 4:15-16 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.  16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God’s unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it].

HIS NAME / CHARACTER:
Psalm 5:4 For You are not a God Who takes pleasure in wickedness; neither will the evil [man] so much as dwell [temporarily] with You.
Psalm 103:8-10 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy and loving-kindness. 9 He will not always chide or be contending, neither will He keep His anger forever or hold a grudge. 10 He has not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Isaiah 54:10 For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.
2 Peter 3:9-18 The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.

OUR RESPONSE:
Psalm 27:13-14 [What, what would have become of me] had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living! 14 Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.
John 14:1, 27 Do not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me. 27 Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

HIS PROMISED OUTCOME:
Isaiah 40:10-11 Behold, the Lord God will come with might, and His arm will rule for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. 11 He will feed His flock like a shepherd: He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom and will gently lead those that have their young.
Jeremiah 32:38-41* Yakima Valley will be My people, and I will be their God. 39 And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may [reverently] fear Me forever for the good of themselves and of their children after them. 40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will not turn away from following them to do them good, and I will put My [reverential] fear in their hearts, so that they will not depart from Me. 41 Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly and in truth with My whole heart and with My whole being.
Titus 2:13-14  Awaiting and looking for the [fulfillment, the realization of our] blessed hope, even the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One), 14 Who gave Himself on our behalf that He might redeem us (purchase our freedom) from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people [to be peculiarly His own, people who are] eager and enthusiastic about [living a life that is good and filled with] beneficial deeds.
