2nd Sunday Each Month

Thank you for spending time in prayer this Sunday for our church and for Yakima Valley. Below are links to this month’s scripture and prayer prompts from the team behind Pray Yakima 24/7. What an honor to join other churches across our Valley to pray over our city - our prayers matter!  May God bless your time. please send us an email!
Our desire and purpose for 24/7 is to “set a watch” by connecting with Grace to pray for our Valley one day each month so that we may experience the blessings of God’s promises 24/7 for 365 days of our year.  Your part is vital to this end.

When the child of God looks into the Word of God, he sees the Son of God, and is changed by the Spirit of God, into the image of God, All for the Glory of God! - Warren Wiersbe
We Praise:
Psalm 66:1-2 Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth; 2 Sing forth the honor and glory of His name; make His praise glorious! Psalm 96:1-3 O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! 2 Sing to the Lord, bless (affectionately praise) His name; show forth His salvation from day to day. 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples. Psalm 117:1-2* O praise the Lord, all you nations! Praise Him, all you people of Yakima! 2 For His mercy and loving-kindness are great toward us, and the truth and faithfulness of the Lord endure forever. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)

Our Fathers Heart:
Psalm 16:13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. Psalm 119:103 How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. Ephesians 5:1-2 Therefore be imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father]. 2 And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.

We Listen:
Psalm 5:3 In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare [a prayer, a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart]. 1 Kings 19:11-13  And He said, Go out and stand on the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; 12 And after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire [a sound of gentle stillness and] a still, small voice. 13 When Elijah heard the voice, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, there came a voice to him and said, What are you doing here, Elijah? John 10:27 The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice; and I know them, and they follow Me.

Holy Spirit Speaks:
Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed. Yakima Valley will be a place where there is provision, resources, something for everyone, where everyone benefits. Poverty flees, violence flees, and injustice flees. A city where there is joy, laughter and fullness of life. A city of refuge, restoration and healing.

His Promised Results:
Ezekiel 34:13-15* And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries and will bring them to their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them with good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be; there shall they lie down in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Yakima. 15 I will feed My sheep and I will cause them to lie down, says the Lord God.  2 Corinthians 2:14-16 But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, 15 For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing: 16 To the latter it is an aroma [wafted] from death to death [a fatal odor, the smell of doom]; to the former it is an aroma from life to life [a vital fragrance, living and fresh]. And who is qualified (fit and sufficient) for these things? [Who is able for such a ministry? We?]  Philippians 4:18-19  But I have [your full payment] and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. [They are the] fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights. 19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.  Romans 8:11
