PRAY YAKIMA

2nd Sunday Each Month

Thank you for spending time in prayer this Sunday for our church and for Yakima Valley. Below are links to this month’s scripture and prayer prompts from the team behind Pray Yakima 24/7. What an honor to join other churches across our Valley to pray over our city - our prayers matter!  May God bless your time. please send us an email!
Our desire and purpose for 24/7 is to “set a watch” by connecting with Grace to pray for our Valley one day each month so that we may experience the blessings of God’s promises 24/7 for 365 days of our year.  Your part is vital to this end.
Yakima Valley 24/7 Prayer
Scripture Support for Prayer Topics

Sunday, January 11
We pray because we know that when our prayers align with Gods Heart, it moves
His Hand and transforms our Valley!
We Give Praise:
Psalm 63:1-4  O God, You are my God, earnestly will I seek You; my inner self thirsts for You, my flesh longs and is faint for You, in a dry and weary land where no water is. 2 So I have looked upon You in the sanctuary to see Your power and Your glory. 3 Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.4 So will I bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name.
Psalm 92:1-4   It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High, 2 To show forth Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness by night, 3 With an instrument of ten strings and with the lute, with a solemn sound upon the lyre. 4 For You, O Lord, have made me glad by Your works; at the deeds of Your hands I joyfully sing.
Hebrews 13:15-16 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

We Awaken to Our Needs & Blessings:
We cry out for more prosperous & Christian business, better jobs, provision for city finances, healing our violent and fatherless families, reforming educational foundations and standards. Bible sales have increased 10% this year. Spiritual revival among young men has been increasing.  Several individuals with generous hearts stepped up for city financial needs, so that Chesterly Park and Harmon Center remain open.
Romans 5: 3-5 Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. 4 And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. 5 Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

We Accept Correction:
2 Timothy 2:16-17 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), 17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work
Proverbs 10:17 He who heeds instruction and correction is [not only himself] in the way of life [but also] is a way of life for others. And he who neglects or refuses reproof [not only himself] goes astray [but also] causes to err and is a path toward ruin for others.
Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves instruction and correction loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is like a brute beast, stupid and indiscriminating.
Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?
Revelation 3:1-3* And to the angel (messenger) of the assembly (church) in Yakima write: These are the words of Him Who has the seven Spirits of God [the sevenfold Holy Spirit] and the seven stars: I know your record and what you are doing; you are supposed to be alive, but [in reality] you are dead. 2 Rouse yourselves and keep awake, and strengthen and invigorate what remains and is on the point of dying; for I have not found a thing that you have done [any work of yours] meeting the requirements of My God or perfect in His sight. 3 So call to mind the lessons you received and heard; continually lay them to heart and obey them, and repent. In case you will not rouse yourselves and keep awake and watch, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not know or suspect at what hour I will come.

His Covenant Promises – brings New Hope:
Jeremiah 32:38-41* And Yakima Valley will be My people, and I will be their God. 39 And I will give them one heart and one way, that they may [reverently] fear Me forever for the good of themselves and of their children after them. 40 And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will not turn away from following them to do them good, and I will put My [reverential] fear in their hearts, so that they will not depart from Me. 41 Yes, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly and in truth with My whole heart and with My whole being.
Ezekiel 36:24-28 For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all countries and bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleanness; and from all your idols will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you, and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall heed My ordinances and do them. 28 And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your God.
Hebrews 12:11 For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness—in conformity to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God].

We Obediently Go and Do:
Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God?
Matthew 28:18-20 Yeshua came and talked with them. He said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore, go and make people from all nations into disciples, immersing them into the reality of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember! I will be with you always, yes, even until the end of the age.

Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

LORD, Hear our prayers!  In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN.

Do you have a prayer or Praise?
