For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.
Romans 8:18-19
Our Praise: Psalm 8:1,9 O Lord, our Lord, How majestic and glorious and excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have displayed Your splendor above the heavens. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic and glorious and excellent is Your name in all the earth! Psalm 95:1-2 O come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with songs.
Psalm 105:1-4 O give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the people. 2 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonderful acts and devoutly praise them. 3 Glory in His holy name; Let the hearts of those who seek and require the Lord [as their most essential need] rejoice. Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. Psalm 139:13-16 For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. 14 I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works and my soul knows it very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret, and intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written the days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape].
Our Longings: For healing of our families, ending fatherlessness, abolishing drug use and dependence (NBA), restoring righteous influence on our vulnerable children, our citizens move about in safety, replacing unrighteous lawmakers, abolishing physical and mental illness, ending internet addiction & loneliness. Our prayers will increase in intensity to overcome evil. May 4, Yakima NDP https://www.yakimachurch.com/events/national-day-of-prayer/2023-05-04
Psalm 51:10-13 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right and steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and sustain me with a willing spirit. 13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted and return to You. Acts 3:19-21 So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]; 20 and that He may send [to you] Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you, 21 whom heaven must keep until the time for the [complete] restoration of all things about which God promised through the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.
Our Revival: Jeremiah 22:29 O land, land, land, hear the word of the Lord! Isaiah 30:19-21 O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will most certainly be gracious to you at the sound of your cry for help; when He hears it, He will answer you. 20 Though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of oppression, yet your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will [constantly] see your Teacher. 21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left. Isaiah 62:2-3 The nations will see your righteousness and vindication [by God], and all kings [will see] your glory; And you will be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord will designate. 3 You will also be [considered] a crown of glory and splendor in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem [exceedingly beautiful] in the hand of your God. 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 And when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says, “Death is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). 55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].
I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace.
In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties.
But take heart! I have conquered the world.
John 16:33
