PRAY YAKIMA

2nd Sunday Each Month

Thank you for spending time in prayer this Sunday for our church and for Yakima Valley. Below are links to this month’s scripture and prayer prompts from the team behind Pray Yakima 24/7. What an honor to join other churches across our Valley to pray over our city - our prayers matter!  May God bless your time in prayer.
Our desire and purpose for 24/7 is to “set a watch” by connecting with Grace to pray for our Valley one day each month so that we may experience the blessings of God’s promises 24/7 for 365 days of our year.  Your part is vital to this end.
Yakima Valley 24/7 Prayer
Scripture Support for Prayer Topics

Sunday, September 13
If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.  2 Chronicles 7:14
Our Praises: Rains came, winds calmed, aiding fire control, organizations came forward to aid Camp Hope financially.

Psalm 150:6 Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
Hebrews 13:15 Through Him, therefore, let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].

Our Needs: We have been Seeking God for our Valley monthly since 2010. We cry out for His guidance and intervention in our lack of Firefighters, righteous leaders for our city, Nation & world, peace; city finances, daily living expenses, hunger, food bank supplies and homelessness. We also cry out for guidance to end domestic violence, fatherlessness, gangs, overdoses and suicide.

Proverbs 14:33-34 Wisdom rests [silently] in the mind and heart of him who has understanding, but that which is in the inward part of [self-confident] fools is made known. Uprightness and right standing with God (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation) elevate a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.
Proverbs 16:12 It is an abomination [to God and men] for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established and made secure by righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation).

He Hears:
Psalm 34:17 When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles.
Psalm 69:33 For the Lord hears the poor and needy and despises not His prisoners (His miserable and wounded ones).
Psalm 145:18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).
Job 34:28 So that they caused the cry of the poor to come to Him, and He heard the cry of the afflicted.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us (and He answers us…).

He Answers:
Psalm 20:6 Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand.
Psalm 33:12 Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His heritage.
1 Kings 8:30 Hearken to the prayer of Your servant and of Your people Yakima*, when they pray in or toward this place. Hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive. *Yakima added to verse
Philippians 4:4-7 Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon]. Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in dependence upon His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

LORD, Hear our prayers!  In Jesus' name we pray, AMEN.

Do you have a prayer or Praise?

We'd love to pray for you and join you in your praises!
