And Jesus Said...

FOR I WAS HUNGRY AND YOU GAVE ME SOMETHING TO EAT.  I WAS THIRSTY AND YOU GAVE SOMETHING TO DRINK. I NEEDED CLOTHES AND YOU CLOTHED ME…. THEN THE RIGHTEOUS WILL ANSWER AND SAY, “LORD, WHEN DID WE DO THIS?”  THEN JESUS REPLIED, “I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE BROTHERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME”.

in response to this crisis...

We are a blessed people in the midst of a crisis with our eyes on Jesus.  While there is concern, we are not paralyzed by fear but are able to respond to Jesus’ call to respond to the needs of others.  There are families in Yakima whose basic needs are not being met, and we can help. Grace of Christ is developing a communication center to identify families in the Adams Elementary School neighborhood who need help during this time of crisis.  Once we identify a family with specific needs, Grace of Christ staff will use the funds so generously given by our Grace of Christ Family to best meet the basic needs of those in need during this trying time. As Pastor Alex says, the greatest need people have is to know Jesus.   While we are providing vital goods to families, we are doing it in the name of Jesus.  As a result we have an opportunity to share Drops of His Grace with people in great need.  Will they remember the food or clothes? Maybe not, but they will remember the Love of Jesus
