Thomas and his wife Jennifer are long-time members at Grace of Christ. They, along with their children Eli and Noah, are returning to Grace of Christ, after several years of ministering at Crossroads Community Church in Moxee. Thomas, who joined the Grace staff in 2017, has a strong passion for the Lord, and lots of energy and excitement for reaching and discipling students, and for equipping volunteers. He brings a wealth of experience including a variety of ministries over the past 18 years, seven years as an educator, and is currently working on a Masters of Ministry at the Pacific Evangelical School of Ministry (through George Fox University).
We are thrilled that the Lord has moved on their hearts to serve our Grace of Christ Family in this capacity! Thank you for your support and prayers during this time of leadership transition.

Austyn Chynoweth comes to us from Caldwell, Idaho just 30 minutes outside of Boise. Austyn is a graduate of Central Christian College in McPherson, Kansas (’15), earning her BS in communications. While at Central, Austyn played four seasons for the women’s soccer team and one season for the women’s tennis team. She was also active in PBL (Phi Bata Lambda Business Club), HBC leadership, Chapel Media Team, and Student Assistant to the Athletic Director. After graduation Austyn moved back to Idaho where she became the college and career advisor at Vallivue High School, and where she continued her coaching career through Valley United and Vallivue High School. Vallivue High School is where she became heavily involved in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) as the advisor and camp huddle leader. Through that opportunity God has called Austyn to the Yakima Valley to join staff with FCA, and here to serve at Grace of Christ. Austyn is currently coaching under the leadership of Abigail Drollinger at YVC.
“My goal is for our students to know that they are fully known by God and that they are fully loved by him, as well as us as a staff! We have the opportunity to love and support students who are walking through so many things, with the love that has changed our own hearts. I am excited for what God is doing here and what God wants to do not only at Grace, but in Yakima.”
