Bent, But Not Broken
Everybody probably has been distressed, or experienced stress in their lives. Some might say that people are under more stress today than ever before. Perhaps it’s due to the division our country is experiencing over a variety of issues, or the ongoing random and not so random senseless killings.
Stress can have a way of debilitating people. Stress can create bitterness and anger and eventually explode into an uncontrollable outburst of less than flattering talk and conversations and even demeaning remarks. What do you do when you are in distress? How do you handle anxiety and worry and fear?
Today, as we listen to David’s own distress, begin to turn all things over to God who cares for you. Don’t run away from stress - Don’t ignore stress - Recognize stress, but don’t give into stress. It may bend you, but it does not need to break you
