Tim & Muriel Teusink have served for over 20 years as medical/educational missionaries in Haïti, Rwanda and for the past 14 years with SIM (Serving in Mission) in Ethiopia.
Tim Teusink, a graduate of the UW School of Medicine and the Yakima Family Medicine Residency, has served as a surgeon in Haïti and Rwanda and currently teaches in theological institutions in Ethiopia, focusing over the past few years on teaching in Ethiopian Orthodox Church (EOC) seminaries in AIDS prevention and care. The EOC has over 40 million members and is one of the oldest and largest Christian Churches in the world, having been established in Ethiopia in the 4th Century.
Muriel Teusink has worked as Teacher-Librarian at Bingham Academy, a K-12 Christian School in Addis Ababa with over 320 students. This past year, she has also taught Middle School French at Bingham.
