New Campus Project
December 2016
Dear Friends,
In this season when we celebrate the blessings of our Lord, we want to bring you greetings and an update about His work through YWAM in Battambang, Cambodia. It’s amazing to see what God has done when we set our hearts on being faithful to His call to bring the Good News to the ends of the earth. From 5 young adults and 1 rented house 10 years ago to start an after-school activities center, we found ourselves growing rapidly and developing a 12 level government-certified English program that daily serves over 450 students, women & children @ risk and neighborhood programs, supporting HIV/AIDS families, running a mission-based café, to offering numerous missions and leadership training courses for Christians credentialed via the University of the Nations, and planting churches in the city and villages. Our staff grew to 90 with over 10 projects reaching our community.
Due to your interest, financial support or both, you are aware that we embarked upon a God-sized plan to establish His permanency in this area of Cambodia, by developing a 13 acre educational campus and community center. This includes a public park/playground and a full size soccer field, something that this city of approximately 250,000+ people does not have for its children. Starting with no money and no financial sponsor behind us, we asked God to show us the way for this to happen. He told us we must first give sacrificiallyof ourselves and He would multiply it. We did–and He did–through many people just like you. Whether people could give $100 or $100,000, many of you became His hands and feet to go from “a dream” to nearing the completion of the reality of Phase 1 of His plan.
As you can see from the photo we are on the home stretch. Three dorms, the cafeteria and all infra-structure are in place, and the primary educational building is underway. It will take $600,000 to complete Phase 1, but $300,000 of that will be supplied by our ‘angel donor’ on a $1 for $1 match. Can YOU help us by being His hands and feet needed to obtain these matching funds?
There are absolutely NO administrative costs taken out of your donation. 100% of every dollar given goes directly to completion of the project. Whether you are one of the ones who has intended to help but hasn’t yet, or you’re one that has helped before but who wants to see God’s plan brought to completion, NOW is the time to finish the job!
