Grace of christ  covid response

Updated 8/26/21

Grace of Christ seeks to honor Jesus in all things.

We honor Jesus as we, by the indwelling power and work of the Holy Spirit, pursue a love for God (heart, soul, mind, and strength) and a love for our neighbors (Deuteronomy 6:5, Leviticus 19:18, Matthew 22:35-40, Mark 12:28-31, Luke 10:25-28).

Our Lord did not deviate from His appointed mission as He taught, healed, loved, died, and rose again in a society burdened by the unjust rules and regulations of the Roman empire.  Likewise we will not deviate from our God appointed mission.  Unless we are asked to deny or compromise what we believe as Christians, Grace of Christ will comply with local, state and national laws and mandates (Romans 13:1-8, Titus 3:1-2, Matthew 17:24-27).
The burden of masking does not reach the threshold that would require Grace of Christ to defy such orders.  Although burdensome, Grace of Christ will follow the directions outlined by the Washington State Department of Health in their attempts to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus and variants, especially among those most vulnerable, and the unvaccinated. Masks are to be worn at all times while in the church.

Grace of Christ acknowledges the right of Christians, as citizens, to publicly express their opinions and opposition to laws, legislation and government mandates.  In doing so each Christian is compelled to speak and act in ways that express their love for God and their love for their neighbors.  Grace is extended when good Christians disagree on the response to such matters.
