Ash Wednesday | February 26
Soup & Bread Supper @ 5:30 | Prayer @ 6:00 | Service @ 6:30
The season of LENT begins on Ash Wednesday, February 26, which is 40 days before Easter (not including Sundays). This is a time of preparation for Easter through repentance and contemplation of the necessity of the cross in our forgiveness. His birth at Christmas ultimately leads to the cross and His suffering.
This service vividly portrays the significance of the cross of Christ in our forgiveness as we begin our journey toward Resurrection Morning. Join us for this most poignant and personal worship experience.
Join us at 5:30 in the Garden Room for a simple soup and bread supper. Informal prayer-time begins at 6:00 and the service starts at 6:30.
Childcare will be available during the service.
When the people in the Passion narrative looked at Jesus, what did they see? Who misunderstood Him? Who acknowledged Him as the Son of God? Eyes on Jesus: Daily Devotions will direct our attention to Jesus Christ. Through each devotion, we will “fix our eyes” on what Jesus has done to save us from our sins by His holy, precious blood, innocent sufferings, and death. And on account of the Savior’s justifying work, we will celebrate what God sees when He looks at us.
